FAQ
Questions, answered.
What is a real estate syndication?+
A syndication pools capital from multiple investors to buy a property that would be hard to acquire alone. Slickview acts as the sponsor (general partner): we find, finance, and operate the asset. Investors are limited partners who contribute capital and receive a share of cash flow and profits, without landlord duties.
Who can invest?+
Most of our offerings are private placements under Regulation D. Some are limited to accredited investors; others may accept a limited number of sophisticated investors with whom we have a pre-existing relationship. Creating an account is how that relationship starts, and each offering’s documents spell out exactly who is eligible.
What’s the minimum investment?+
Minimums are set per deal and typically range from $25,000 to $50,000. You can see each deal’s minimum on its page.
How and when do I get paid?+
Distributions from operating cash flow are typically paid quarterly once a property is stabilized. Profits from a sale or refinance are distributed according to the waterfall in the offering documents, usually after investors receive their preferred return.
How long is my money invested?+
Our typical hold period is 3–7 years. Private real estate is illiquid: you generally cannot withdraw capital before the property is sold or refinanced, so only invest money you won’t need during the hold.
What reporting will I receive?+
Quarterly investor updates with financials and business-plan progress, annual K-1s for taxes, and 24/7 access to documents and distribution history in the investor portal.
What does Slickview earn?+
Fees and the sponsor’s share of profits vary by deal and are fully disclosed in each offering’s private placement memorandum. We also invest our own capital alongside our investors.
What are the risks?+
All real estate investments carry risk, including the loss of your entire investment. Rents, occupancy, expenses, interest rates, and sale prices can differ materially from projections. Read the risk factors in each PPM carefully and consult your advisors.
